New Academy Principal
Ms Lisa Peterkin
Ms Peterkin joined the Academy in September 2009 and since that time has contributed significantly to the successful improvements that have taken place at St Mark's over the last three years. Governors are delighted with the appointment as they know that Ms Peterkin will be able to provide continuity and continue the rapid improvements that have been made within the Academy. They also know that she has the drive and determination to lead the Academy to be recognised as an outstanding school.
Following the interviews that took place this week the Governors of St Mark's Academy, CfBT Education Trust and Southwark Diocesan Board of Education are pleased to announce that Ms Lisa Peterkin has been appointed to the post of Principal and will take up her post in September 2013. This appointment follows an interview process that involved external and internal candidates over two days that included a range of tasks and interviews including those with students, Governors and colleagues from CfBT, SDBE and the London Borough of Merton. Governors were extremely pleased at the high calibre of applicants for the post and the high number of applications received and feel that this shows just what a great school St Mark’s Church of England Academy is.
