St Mark’s Church of England Academy is a 11-18 Academy based in the South London borough of Merton. The Academy is rapidly improving as demonstrated by its rapid increase in GCSE headline figures. In the last two years they have increased from 23% A*-C including English and Maths to 55% in the 2011/12 Academic Year. Our recent Ofsted inspection in October 2012, described the Academy as a ‘Good’ school, and we are now moving into beginning our journey towards providing an Outstanding education for young people in the Mitcham area. The Academy is a community founded on our key values of Trust, Hope and Love and these values permeate our school community. The Academy is located on the outskirts of London and is well served by Mitcham Eastfields train station which runs regular services towards Central London and Sutton and Wimbledon.
